Job Description:
Derby Photography, an award-winning photography studio, is looking for a Photo Editor/Graphic Designer to join their team.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Basic photo retouching including blemishes, glass glare, removing objects, face transfers
• Execute a variety of projects for clients, including: holiday cards, albums, advertising, and flyers
• Provide creative strategy and concepts for advertisement campaigns and special projects
• Maintain the organization of all electronic files, creative briefs, and samples
• Retouch, edit, and design layout for various digital documents

Creative Responsibilities:

• Partner with photographers on art direction and style
• Ensure that the overall creative remains cutting-edge and fresh
• Contribute to our promotion efforts via Facebook, Twitter, blogging, and other social media outlets

Clientele Responsibilities:

• Ensure that clients have an exceptional experience at our studio
• Complete required paperwork to ensure that clients receive orders in a timely fashion
• Answer phone calls and help with client questions
• Put together client orders and prepare for pick up
• Ensure that the studio is warm and inviting for clients

Candidate must have

• A portfolio that showcases design experience
• Proficiency in Photoshop, LightRoom, and experience with Mac computers preferred
• The ability to interact professionally with all company members and clients
• The ability to appropriately receive and act upon feedback
• Must be a seasoned multi-tasker who can juggle a variety of projects of varying scope
• Must be a self-starter who can learn protocol “on-the-job”
