Dana Safety Supply is seeking a Graphic Designer for Law Enforcement Vehicle Equipment for the Kissimmee. FL location.


The Graphics Designer will be responsible for creation for visuals for branding, marketing (wraps, ads, digital), and sometimes product details (decals, interiors), focusing on brand consistency, translating designs to 3D surfaces, using design software (Adobe, CAD), and collaborating with engineers and marketing teams to ensure designs are both appealing and functional for automotive applications, from concept to physical production.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Layout:

  • Conceptualize, design, and create accurate digital layouts for emergency vehicle graphics, including striping, lettering, agency logos, and mandated reflective markings (e.g., NFPA compliant chevrons).
  • Consult with clients (police, fire, EMS agencies) to understand their specific branding, regulatory requirements, and visibility needs, translating their vision into final design mock-ups.
  • Prepare and present design proofs to clients for approval, making necessary revisions and managing the design process from concept to production-ready file.

Production and Installation:

  • Operate and maintain specialized graphic production equipment, including plotters, vinyl cutters, and large-format printers (e.g., Gerber Edge FX or similar).
  • Produce high-quality vinyl decals, wraps, and reflective materials, ensuring color accuracy and material integrity.
  • Precisely measure and prepare vehicle surfaces.
  • Perform professional installation of all graphics onto emergency vehicles, ensuring correct alignment, clean application, and adherence to design specifications, industry standards (NFPA, KKK-A-1822F), and state-specific reflectivity laws.

Compliance and Quality:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory standards for emergency vehicle conspicuity and graphics (e.g., retro-reflectivity requirements).
  • Conduct rigorous quality control checks on all produced and installed graphics to ensure defect-free application and compliance.

Shop Operations:
  • Manage and organize the graphics production area, maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
  • Maintain an organized system for digital design files, client specifications, and vinyl inventory.

Work Hours:

Minimum work week of 40 hours or whatever it takes to meet sales goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of Flexi SAI (vehicle vinyl design, print setup, plotter workflow, color management)
  • Expert knowledge CorelDRAW (vector design, layout, and production-ready files)
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator (vector graphics, branding, logo design)
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop (photo editing, mockups, digital artwork)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (PDF editing, prepress, file preparation)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of print production, vinyl cutting, and large-format printers
  • Ability to prepare print-ready and cut-ready files with proper bleed, outlines, and color profiles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast
