An employee owned (ESOP) mechanical design/build firm since 1912 is seeking a Graphics Designer to join our Granite Bay team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create high-quality, intuitive, and visually consistent graphics for Building Automation Systems (BAS). This unique role blends creative web design with technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems, along with working in Tridium Niagara’s PX/HTML5 environment.
The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with programmers, project managers, and field technicians to translate mechanical plans and control sequences into clean, functional, and user-friendly interfaces. These graphics will enable customers to monitor and operate their facilities efficiently and confidently.
- Design and build website like graphics for customer building automation systems.
- Create custom dashboards, floor plans, equipment views, and navigation structures within Niagara Workbench.
- Translate mechanical drawings, control submittals, and point lists into accurate, user-friendly visual layouts.
- Maintain consistency, icon libraries, and reusable templates.
- Optimize graphics for performance, clarity, and responsiveness across browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with BAS programmers to ensure graphics align with station architecture and point mapping.
- Prepare and organize graphic packages for project turnover and customer training.
- Troubleshoot and revise graphics based on QA feedback or field conditions
Job Specifications:
- Tridium Niagara Workbench graphics tools (preferred).
- Understanding of HVAC equipment, building systems, and control sequences (on the job training).
- Ability to read mechanical plans, risers, and control drawings (on the job training).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS.
- Knowledge of energy dashboards or data visualization.
- Experience building template libraries for large portfolios.
Able to:

- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
