Graphics Intern

Position Overview
We are seeking a Graphics Intern who will contribute to the visual identity of Marquee Sports Network. This intern will support the graphics and production teams with game-day design and support throughout the regular Cubs season. They will provide direct support to internal departments through all stages of project development and execute strategic creative initiatives.
Goals of Internship:
- Exposure to day-to-day operations in our Production Department as well as all aspects of business development and television broadcasting.
- Opportunity to establish relationships with Producers, Directors, Editors, and other roles involved in the television production process.
- Growing skillset in design and templates under both our Graphic Designer and Lead Motion Graphics Designer
Duties Include:
- Working using premade photoshop templates to make matchup graphics throughout the season in various sizes, and assisting on campaign assets as needed.
- Managing file organization, both locally and for online use.
- Support in gameday tasks to make graphics with quick turn arounds.
- Comfortable learning AfterEffects templates to export animated assets.
- Isolating subjects and assets cleanly from images for gameday use and templating.
- Assist in the production process for live studio shows, taped studio shows, and documentaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Prior experience with AfterEffects is a plus.
- A passion for brand integrity and high attention to detail.
- Organized, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration and working effectively within a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take feedback fluidly.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and stay on top of live events as they occur.
- Familiarity with business applications (ie. Word, Excel, Google Sheets)
- Able to commit approximately up to 20 hours a week, minimum of 12-16 hours per week.
- Availability for some weeknight and weekend events which will be discussed well in advance.
