Our services include Applications Development, Systems Modernization and Integration, Cloud Computing, DevSecOps, Data Analytics (including AI/ML/GenAI) and Infrastructure Optimization.

We are pursing IT contract opportunities with federal and state government and submitting proposals for RFP and RFI bids. The following requirement is contingent upon contract award from government/prime (February /March 2026 timeline).

Applications Integration Engineer – GraphQL + .NET Core (Contingent on Award)

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Applications Integration Engineer to support a proposed modernization project focused on building GraphQL-based APIs for structured data delivery in a secure, containerized environment in Azure cloud. This role is contingent on award of a federal technology modernization initiative expected to begin in early 2026.

As an Integration Engineer, you will help design and develop a federated GraphQL API using .NET Core, Hot Chocolate GraphQL server solution, and containerized services deployed to Kubernetes. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders in an Agile team, participate in sprint ceremonies, and contribute to DevOps-enabled CI/CD workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain GraphQL subgraphs using Hot Chocolate and ASP.NET Core
  • Integrate data from PostgreSQL and existing REST services into new GraphQL endpoints
  • Support GraphQL federation via a router/gateway (e.g., Apollo Router)
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
  • Implement secure authentication via OAuth2/JWT
  • Deploy services via Helm to Kubernetes as part of a CI/CD pipeline

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years in software engineering with .NET Core (C#)
  • 2-3 years of working with GraphQL (preferably using Hot Chocolate)
  • Familiarity with GraphQL federation concepts or interest in learning fast
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
  • Experience developing and running applications in containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong Git and source control habits
  • U.S. Citizen; able to work on federal projects

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Helm, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry
  • Prior experience in civic tech or government data systems
  • Understanding of schema governance and GraphQL best practices

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $85,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
