Grassroots Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator

A Snail's Pace is seeking a highly energetic, organized, and community-focused individual to serve as our Grassroots Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, increasing store traffic, and fostering deep relationships within the local community through direct outreach, event coordination, and active participation in local running and wellness activities. The ideal candidate will be a passionate representative of A Snail's Pace, dedicated to connecting with key community pillars, from medical professionals to local businesses and school athletic programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Community and Professional Outreach (Grassroots Marketing)

• Medical & Wellness Community: Build and maintain relationships with local podiatrists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other medical professionals to establish a mutual referral network. Distribute educational materials and arrange presentations on the benefits of professional shoe fitting and running analysis.
• School and Team Engagement: Serve as the primary contact for local high school and club running coaches. Coordinate team fittings, provide educational clinics, and manage exclusive team pricing programs to become the preferred outfitter for school athletic programs.
• Local Business Development: Identify and execute cross-promotional opportunities with synergistic local businesses (e.g., gyms, healthy eateries) to host joint events and offer co-branded promotions.

2. Event Coordination and Management

• Race Expo Management: Lead the planning, logistics, and execution of A Snail's Pace presence at local running races, health fairs, and fitness expos. This includes managing booth setup, inventory, staff scheduling, and lead capture.
• Internal Event Support: Assist the Marketing Director with the planning and execution of in-store events, workshops, product launches, and seminars.
• Group Run Participation: Regularly attend and actively participate in A Snail's Pace weekly group runs to build rapport with the existing customer base, recruit new runners, and promote community engagement.

3. Brand Representation and Reporting

• Active Brand Ambassador: Professionally represent A Snail's Pace at all external events, demonstrating deep product knowledge and a passion for running and wellness.
• Reporting and Analysis: Track all outreach activities, event attendance, and referral traffic. Provide regular reports to the Marketing Director detailing results, ROI of community partnerships, and recommendations for future strategies.
• Content Collaboration: Collaborate with the Marketing Director and social media team to capture content (photos/videos) at events and with community partners for use on digital channels.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in community relations, grassroots marketing, event planning, or retail outreach, preferably within the running, fitness, or wellness industry.
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to confidently engage diverse audiences, including medical professionals and school administrators.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects and a flexible, travel-heavy schedule.
• Must be an active member of the running or fitness community and demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the sport and the A Snail's Pace brand.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and basic knowledge of event logistics.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (for event setup/breakdown) and reliable transportation is required.
