Greek Grill Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining and restaurant settings. This role involves preparing high-quality grilled dishes, ensuring excellent food presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Grill Cook will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests by demonstrating culinary expertise and attention to detail.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality
• Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food handling and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness of the grill station and kitchen area throughout shifts
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods
• Assist in plating and presentation of dishes for service
• Follow all food safety protocols and maintain proper food storage procedures
• Support catering events or special functions as needed
• Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Experience

• Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or fine dining environment
• Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
• Proficiency with knife skills and culinary techniques required for grilling and food presentation
• Background in the food industry with an emphasis on kitchen experience preferred
• Familiarity with catering or serving roles is advantageous
• Strong understanding of food handling procedures, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards
