Duties

• Assist with daily plant watering and irrigation systems to maintain proper moisture levels for healthy growth
• Prepare soil, potting mixes, and planting beds using hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Identify various plant species and monitor their health, spotting pests or diseases early for prompt action
• Perform routine pruning, trimming, and harvesting to promote vigorous plant development
• Maintain greenhouse cleanliness by cleaning tools, benches, and work areas regularly
• Support planting schedules by transplanting seedlings and managing growing environments
• Operate basic mechanical equipment such as watering systems, fans, or ventilation units to regulate climate conditions

Requirements

• Prior experience in horticulture, gardening, farming, or landscaping is highly preferred
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and plant identification techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, trowels, and watering cans
• Basic math skills for measuring soil amendments or adjusting irrigation timers
• Strong attention to detail when caring for plants and maintaining equipment
• Mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting greenhouse systems
• Enthusiasm for outdoor work and a proactive attitude toward plant care and maintenance
