Pine Canyon Club, a private 18-hole facility in Flagstaff, AZ, is looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our Agronomy team. We are looking to fill full-time, part-time, seasonal, and summer positions. Experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping is a plus, but is not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Typical schedule is an 8hr day (5am to 1:30). Seasonal demands of the golf calendar occasionally require work days in excess of 10hrs. Conversely, 5 hour shifts are also part of our schedule. Happy to discuss a schedule that works best for each potential new employee.
Key Responsibilities of the Greenskeeper I:
- Performs general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment
- Rakes and maintains sand bunkers.
- Operates small machinery to assist with edging, trimming and mowing.
- Prepares soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
- Involved with tasks related to course detail (weed and debris clean up).
- Assists with golf course set-up procedures.
- Operates utility vehicles for hauling material and removing debris.
- Performs skilled duties related to experience (pruning, plugging, etc.).
- Operates equipment safely and is aware of associates and their prospective work areas.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications for the Greenskeeper I:
- One month related experience or training.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
