Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Schedule grooming appointments accurately and manage the salon’s calendar to optimize workflow
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, pricing, and appointment availability
• Assist pet owners with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary information is collected
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area to uphold a welcoming environment
• Support grooming staff by handling customer requests and providing updates on pet services and assisting the groomers as needed
• Manage administrative tasks such as processing payments and updating vaccination history
• Ensure compliance with animal handling protocols during check-in and check-out processes

Skills

• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Strong communication abilities to clearly convey information to clients and team members
• Knowledge of pet grooming, animal handling, and restraint techniques
• Experience with dog training, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly desirable
• Ability to handle pets safely during check-in/check-out, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Familiarity with kennel operations
• Basic proficiency in scheduling software and administrative tasks
• Passion for animals with a genuine interest in pet health, grooming, and overall well-being

You will be expected to show up on time Monday through Thursday (no Friday's or weekends though there may be other opportunities for Friday's in the future). We do have a high standard for our receptionists as they are the first thing our clients see and/or speak to.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 36.0 per week
