Grooming Salon Receptionist

About us

Broad Ripple Canine Design is a fast paced dog grooming salon that has been serving the north side of Indianapolis for over 30 years. We have a passion for dogs and looking to add an additional team members to our close-knite group of employees.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Loving dogs is essential, prior experience and knowlege of dogs is a must, the different breeds and grooming is beneficial but not required for someone willing to learn
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of basic administrative procedures and office management

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers
- Schedule grooming appointments and maintain calendars for multiple individuals
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents
- Checking clients in and out, daily closing of the cash resgister
- Lifting and handeling dogs
- Maintain a clean working environment, our receptionists do have cleaning task to keep the grooming shop clean and safe for out dogs and employees.

This position requires a professional demeanor and strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will need to be reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The salon hours are Monday - Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Reception shifts are either 7:45am - 5:45pm 10 hour shift or 7:45am - 1:45pm 6 hour shift or 11:45am - 5:45pm shift. 6 hour shifts will have two hours of overlap working with additional receptionist to complete all daily tasked with less interruptions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
