Groundman/Laborer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Groundman to join our team. As a Groundman, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our team by assisting with various tasks related to maintaining and repairing telecommunication systems. If you have experience with hand tools, equipment operation, and a willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in setting up job sites and getting trucks ready for work

- Drive trucks with trailers to and from job sites
- Use and have knowledge of hand tools
- Support bucket truck operations
- Assist with hand digging and backfilling trenches and structures
- Assist crew with pulling and placing fiber and copper cable (underground and aerial)

Experience:

- Prior experience in groundman/laborer duties preferred
- Proficiency in operating bucket trucks and other equipment
- Knowledge of fiber and telecom construction is a plus
- Familiarity with bucket operations for elevated work

Requirements

- Must have a valid drivers license

- Must pass a drug test

- Must be willing to work 40-50 hours a week, be on call, and work at night when necessary

- Work in all weather conditions

- Willing to travel and stay out of town

- Class A CDL is a plus, but not required for this position
