Groundskeeper

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of our commercial properties and mixed use communities. This position is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, landscaping, building exteriors, parking lots, and common areas.

The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining clean, attractive outdoor spaces and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of property grounds and outdoor areas
• Operate equipment such as mowers, tractors, snow blowers, and other landscaping tools
• Mow lawns, edge walkways, and maintain landscaping areas
• Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges
• Remove litter and debris from grounds, sidewalks, and parking areas
• Perform seasonal tasks including snow removal and salting sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides when needed
• Maintain flower beds and landscaped areas through mulching, weeding, trimming, and aerating
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment, fencing, benches, and outdoor structures
• Maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, and planters
• Communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, and maintenance staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Reliable personal vehicle for use during work hours
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
• Exposure to landscaping equipment and loud machinery
• Occasional exposure to chemicals used for landscaping maintenance

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
