Join our team as a Landscape Maintenance Technician, where your passion for gardening and outdoor beautification will thrive! In this key role, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring the tiny home park is visually stunning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your landscaping expertise, and contribute to community beautification projects. One full-time and one part-time position are available. Criminal background check is required. Dependability and willingness to follow instruction with a positive attitude is required to work on our team.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning and pulling weeds to keep outdoor areas pristine and well-manicured
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to install, repair, or upgrade irrigation systems and landscape features
• Conduct lawn care activities including fertilizing, aerating, overseeding, and weed control to promote healthy turf growth
• Assist with gardening tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and seasonal displays to enhance visual appeal
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, and performing routine repairs to ensure optimal performance
• Support landscaping projects by preparing soil beds, installing mulch or gravel, and laying sod or seed as needed
• Maintain and enhance the community garden
• Eradicate poisonous plants and invasive plants and animals
• Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools and chemicals to ensure a secure work environment
• When the grass is not growing, various maintenance projects will be available that do require being up on a ladder

Experience

• Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance is a plus
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care practices and plant health management
• Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes confidently
• Experience using power tools like trimmers, blowers, chainsaws or similar equipment is advantageous
• Ability to climb a ladder and trim trees is important
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely for quality results
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while standing, bending or lifting for extended periods
