Groundskeeper

Groundskeeper ($14-$17/Hr)

Inverness Country Club is a 9-Hole Private golf club, established in 1925 in Chelsea, MI. We are currently looking for early-risers interested in working with a team to create a great golfing experience for our members and guests. As a Groundskeeper, you will be essential in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our landscapes and outdoor spaces so they remain inviting and well-kept, contributing to the overall aesthetic and enjoyment of our facilities.

Experience in Golf course maintenance, Lawn Care and/or Landscaping is preferred, but not required, will train the right individual(s). Please consider that this is a physically demanding position and you must be able to perform all basic grounds maintenance duties that include bending, lifting, shoveling, etc.

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities will include lawn care, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance including, but not limited to:

- Backpack blowing Greens, Tees and other areas as needed

- Changing Pin Locations

- Tee Mowing

- Fairway Mowing

- String Trimming

- Irrigation repair assistance

- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment used, main shop building, maintenance barn, clubhouse and pro shop exteriors

- Report any damage, malfunction, irregularities and/or potential hazards in and around buildings, grounds, equipment or supplies to supervisor

- Commitment to ensuring club standards

- Able to be on time

- Attention to detail

Must be available to work weekend days, flexible. The daily work schedule typically starts between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m., Later during the early and later parts of the season.

25-35 hours available, depending on your availability and course needs.

Part-time available

Hours Available 7 days per week.

Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (More hours available according to course needs)

Saturday-Sunday 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (More hours available according to course needs)

*Free golf available after work or on off days.

The ideal applicant(s) should be able to demonstrate the ability to function as part of a team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic; RELIABILITY and PUNCTUALITY is essential. Applicant MUST have reliable transportation.
