Twin Oaks is looking for dependable, hands‑on team members to support detailed groundskeeping and landscape maintenance across residential properties. This role involves repetitive, ground‑level work such as hand weeding, raking, edging, and bed cleanup, often for extended periods.

This position is best suited for individuals who:

  • Prefer structured, physical outdoor work
  • Reliably show up on time, day after day, even in less than ideal weather

  • Perform hand weeding, raking, edging, and detailed groundwork
  • Maintain planting beds through mulching, pruning, and cleanup
  • Follow specific job instructions and quality standards for each property
  • Use hand tools (rakes, pruners, shovels, spades)
  • Use power equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers) as assigned
  • Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized; communicate progress/issues to the lead

*Important: Much of this role is repetitive ground‑level work (kneeling, bending). Applicants should be comfortable doing this for extended periods.

  • Commitment to safety and following standards

Helpful (But Not Required)

  • Previous landscape maintenance or groundskeeping experience
  • Experience using mowers, trimmers, or hand tools
  • Knowledge of basic plant care or pruning

* We hire for reliability, coachability, and safety first—experience helps but isn’t mandatory.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Regular bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and long periods of standing
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30–40 lbs as part of routine duties
  • Outdoor work in varying weather (heat, cold, sun, light rain)
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions (consistent with the Washington Law Against Discrimination).

Schedule & Pay

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, typcically from 7am-3pm (hours vary with workload and weather); No weekends
  • Pay: $22–$30/hour. Actual rate within the range is based on reliability, skill, and consistency over the season. We transparently post pay and a general description of compensation to align with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunities Act pay transparency rules.

Introductory Period

This position includes a 30‑day introductory period during which attendance, safety, quality of work, and overall fit are evaluated. Continued employment is based on meeting Twin Oaks’ performance and reliability standards.

Hiring Process

  • Initial phone screen
  • On‑camera interview
  • Paid working interview (hands‑on trial of core tasks)
  • The paid working interview involves performing core job tasks (such as hand weeding and detailed ground work), so candidates should apply only if they intend to attend as scheduled.
