Groundskeeper - Summer Help Only

Description

We are looking for summer grounds help to join our team and help keep our community looking its best. In this role, you will care for our outdoor spaces.

This position involves working outdoors and independently, taking pride in keeping our grounds neat, safe, and welcoming for residents, guests, and staff.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.00 - $16.00

Schedule Details: Monday - Friday, flex schedule available, 20 - 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains grounds on a daily basis
• Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions
• Weatherproof areas, cover outdoor furniture with tarps, tie down unsecured items
• Ensures that sprinklers are in working order and scheduled appropriately
• Manages and performs snow and ice removal duties for walkways and entrances throughout the grounds
• Maintain gardens and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and applying pesticides
• Manages other safety measures such as the use of ice/snow-melting chemicals, and clearing roads and parking areas
• Operate and maintain garden and landscaping equipment
• Recommends repairs to outside furniture, fences, and signs, as necessary

Requirements

• Some experience as a Groundskeeper or similar role
• Knowledge of gardening techniques
• Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work in extreme conditions
• Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment, preferred not required
