Groundskeepers/Course Workers - GOLF

Eaton Canyon Golf Course is seeking a new team member for its Golf Course Maintenance Team at this beloved community golf course in Pasadena, CA.

Eaton Canyon Golf Course is a regulation 9-hole, par-35 course spans just under 3,000 yards and provides an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all skill levels. Built in 1962, the facility is part of the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Golf Division and features a full grass tee driving range, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar.

As a member of the Golf Course Maintenance team, you will perform work supporting golf course maintenance and construction. The team works directly with the Golf Course Superintendent in the maintenance and beautification of golf course grounds and entry areas.

Responsibilities:

• Operates powered equipment in mowing golf course greens and other features
• Operates edgers and trimmers
• Grades and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, plants, vegetative material, and pulls weeds in bed
• Changes cups and tee markers
• Maintains Ball washers, water hazards, and bunkers
• Operates light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris
• Trims trees, prunes shrubbery, and cultivates shrubs and flowers
• Assists in construction of new greens, tees, and fairways by grading, preparing soil and planting

Job Requirements for Course Workers/Groundskeepers

• 1 year experience in golf course maintenance preferred
• Able to understand and follow detailed written and oral instruction
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to work early morning shift.
• Must be able to work at least one weekend day.
