Rockin' TJ Ranch: Groundskeeper / Maintenance

Reports to: Landscape Lead

Typical work week: 25-35 hours per week. During the busy season (wedding season) must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload, staffing, and weather.

Position Summary: The venue/grounds coordinator is responsible for ensuring the work assigned is done efficiently and with quality. This position requires following instructions and maintaining work and storage areas. A detail-oriented individual is required for this position.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Walk and stand during the entire shift
• Lift and carry leaves or bags of grass up to 100 lbs, with assistance
• Lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 100 lbs, with assistance
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and lifting
• Work the entire shift outdoors
• Work in hot and cold environments

Major Requirements and Responsibilities:

• To be at least a minimum legal working age
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be accountable
• Manual Labor Work-driven position
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the workspace
• Event Set
• Event clean up, breakdown of tables and chairs, storage in appropriate location
• Mowing
• Power Raking
• Line Trimming
• Leaf Blowing
• General yard maintenance, repairs, and clean-up
• Spraying or spreading herbicide and fertilizer with supervision
• Moving hoses as needed to water or mow
• Cleanup of yard waste materials
• Using power equipment such as hedge trimmers and chain saws
• Apply stain or oil to wood posts and boards
• Minor painting when needed
• Mixing fuel and oil
• Machinery maintenance
• Burn piles
• Cleanup after storms
• Snow shoveling of patio and walkways
• Not limited to listed tasks - assisting as directed by the supervisor
