Position Summary

Real Deal Therapy and Wellness is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Group and Individual Therapist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a licensed or provisionally licensed mental health professional who is passionate about supporting individuals and families in their recovery journey.

The Group and Individual Therapist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services within a multidisciplinary treatment environment. This position involves providing structured group therapy and individualized counseling, developing personalized treatment plans, and supporting clients in addressing mental health concerns, substance use disorders, family dynamics, self-esteem, and life and coping skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured, evidence-based group therapy sessions.
  • Provide individual and family counseling services in accordance with program standards and best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Establish and maintain strong therapeutic rapport with clients and their families.
  • Address a range of clinical concerns including mental health disorders, substance use disorders, family dynamics, trauma-related issues, self-esteem, and life skills development.
  • Maintain an active caseload, monitor client progress, and modify treatment goals as clinically indicated.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to coordinated, client-centered care.
  • Support clients in developing coping strategies, relapse prevention skills, and sustainable recovery goals.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas license as a mental health professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Provisionally licensed clinicians (LPC-Associate, LMSW, LMFT-Associate) are encouraged to apply.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with mental health and/or substance use populations required (additional training provided for developing clinicians).
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Compensation: $52,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience and credentials
  • Benefits: Full-time employees (32+ hours/week) are eligible for benefits after 45 days, including:
