At OBT Group, the
Group Business Process Specialist
plays a key role in supporting the efficient operations and continued growth of the group. This role is responsible for analysing, standardizing, improving, and monitoring business processes across the organization to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and service delivery. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and support digital transformation initiatives while ensuring alignment with company procedures, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment while contributing to the company’s operational excellence, process optimization, and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements

Strong understanding of business process management principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience in process mapping, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency improvement.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematical finance or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business process management, operations, or continuous improvement functions.

Experience in coding and basic mathematics is a strong advantage, particularly for understanding tariffs across different ports.

Minimum 3 years of experience in the maritime industry, with a solid understanding of shipping processes, is compulsory.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multicultural and international teams.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze, document, and optimize existing business processes across departments to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, workflows, and business process documentation.

Support the implementation and integration of business systems, automation tools, and digital transformation initiatives.

Be the key stakeholder responsible for implementing the new operational system.

Identify and capture inefficiencies in internal processes and find software/IT systems to address them.

Monitor process performance metrics and prepare reports with recommendations for continuous improvement.

Ensure business processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with internal teams to support change management and process improvement projects across the group.

Conduct process audits and operational reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to established procedures.

Assist in risk assessment activities related to operational processes and recommend mitigation measures.

Facilitate training sessions and provide guidance to employees on updated processes and procedures.

Support data analysis and reporting activities to improve decision-making and operational visibility.

Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving efficiency, service quality, and organizational performance.

Liaise with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners when required for process improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of process updates, project progress, and improvement initiatives.
