The Group Director Procurement & Supply Chain will be a key contributor to the leadership of the Procurement and Supply Chain function of the Engineered Materials business, build processes to support effective execution of the day-to-day and strategic imperatives related to capacity and demand planning, supply chain optimization, inventory management and procurement. This is a position, building a robust sales and orders planning process, establishing productivity goals and inventory improvement targets, integrating standard processes, scheduling optimization, and driving a competitive sourcing advantage while mitigating supply risk are core to strategic deliverables and the day-to-day responsibilities. Leadership, analytical rigor, a collaborative spirit, sense of urgency, customer focus, attention to detail, natural curiosity and a willingness to challenge current processes and thinking are critically important to success. This position is expected to enhance existing processes and build new tools, collaborate with the entire organization to build capabilities, and stay integrated with suppliers and customers to effectively drive execution in the business. This role is expected to interact with all levels of the organization in a productive and collaborative manner and work to enable success of the overall business.
The function of the Group Director Procurement & Supply Chain is to work collaboratively with operations, sales, accounting, and customer service to ensure the company’s operations are efficient, low cost and enable us to serve our customers reliably and at service levels that differentiate the business from the competition. This role will be based in Avon, Ohio with some travel required to Schuylkill Haven, PA, Lansdale, PA, and San Marcos, TX as needed.
Position Requirements:

Develop an integrated sales and orders planning process, implementing it across the business while working closely with procurement, customer service, sales, and operations to ensure proper alignments and collaborations.

Drive a competitive sourcing advantage and robust inventory controls.

Analyze, propose, and implement supply chain improvement ideas that lower cost, improve efficiency, reduce inventory, and/or increase service performance to customers.

Integrate with the operations, procurement, sales, and customer service teams and become an influential voice in order planning, lead time derivation, inventory management metrics and procurement/supply chain planning.

Monitor closely and identify potential disruptions to raw material availability, variation to sales forecasts or supply chain changes and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks, costs, or disruption to the business.

Successfully build supply chain forecasts – taking input from all key stakeholders – and conduct regular Sales and Orders Planning reviews with the cross-functional leadership team.

Provide meaningful ad hoc supply chain analyses to the team as requested and necessary.

Negotiate/establish all supply agreements with domestic and international suppliers.

With QA, establish supplier qualifications, industry reputations, metrics, and scorecards, and ensure they are met on a regular basis.

Build, manage and lead a team to drive procurement, ensuring supply chain efficiency, execution, and success.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (MBA a plus) in business (Procurement, Operations & Supply Chain Management)

Ten years + of various supply chain, procurement, and demand planning experience in a manufacturing business (including positions with increasing responsibility).

Proven leader able to build, develop and retain a talented team including succession.

Proficiency with Excel, Access, Word and IQMS to build robust forecasting, planning and analytical tools and models.
