Group FP&A Analyst Key responsibilities:
Budgeting and forecasting: Consolidate budgets and forecasts from various business units into a group-level plan. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
Financial analysis: Analyze current and past financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the entire group. Perform variance analysis to explain discrepancies between actual results and planned performance.
Strategic support:
Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Reporting and communication: Prepare and present financial reports, and dashboards to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for a non-financial audience.
Process improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance accuracy, and increase efficiency.
Risk assessment:
Assess financial risks and opportunities facing the company.
Technical Skills Required:
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and interpret results is critical.
Financial Modeling:
Strong expertise in building financial models is essential for forecasting and analysis. High proficiency in excel is a must.
Soft Skills Required:
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and various business units.
Proactive and Organized:
Being a self-starter with strong work ethics, time management, and project execution skills is highly valued.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field • Certifications: Professional certifications like a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are a significant plus.
