Group Home Caregiver

The Part-Time Caregiver provides direct care and support to residents in a Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF). This position ensures the health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being of residents while promoting independence, dignity, and respect. Caregivers assist with daily living activities, cooking, medication administration (if certified), and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care assistance such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Assist residents with meals, including meal preparation, cooking, serving, and feeding when necessary.
• Support residents with daily living activities while encouraging independence.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or mental health to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment.
• Support residents with recreational and social activities.
• Follow all state regulations, facility policies, and safety procedures.
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional care at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous caregiving, CNA, or related experience (preferred but not required).
• CBRF certifications (Medication Administration, Fire Safety, First Aid/Choking, Standard Precautions) (preferred).
• Ability to lift, transfer, and provide physical support to residents as needed.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be dependable, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position.
• Rotating schedule with every other weekend required.
• Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on facility needs.

Work Environment:

• Small group home/community-based setting.
• Requires physical activity such as lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility.

Pay Rates

• PCW- $12
• CBRF (all four classes) - $13
• CNA - $14

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
