Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Manager to oversee the operations of our group home and community care services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring that resident rights are upheld while fostering a supportive environment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the group home, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Collaborate with staff to provide high-quality care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Advocate for resident rights and promote a culture of respect and dignity within the home.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident progress.
- Manage staffing training, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Foster relationships with families, community resources, and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure proper documentation of all activities related to resident care and operational management.
Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in group home management or similar settings, such as retirement homes or assisted living facilities.
- Strong understanding of social work principles and practices related to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy techniques within community care settings.
- Strong organizational and operational management skills to ensure smooth daily functioning of the facility.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
