Founded in 1995, Turning Leaf Behavioral Health Services offers a variety of supports to adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness as well as co-occurring disorders to those residing on our residential campus. Turning Leaf partners with agencies across the State of Michigan to provide customized clinical supports, designed to meet each individual’s needs.
Position Overview: The Assistant Program Manager (APM) works under the guidance of the AFC Program Manager and Administrator to provide supervision to residents and staff within Turning Leaf Programs. APM's assist the Program Manager with duties related to supervision of treatment/care of adults with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness residing in group home and/or supported living setting. May assist with emergencies during unscheduled work time and may provide on call supports for work site after hours. APM's must maintain a professional relationship with residents of Turning Leaf while modeling and guiding appropriate social interaction for residents and staff.
Qualifications: Management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have an ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and utilize effective communication skills, including both telephone and in-person, with the capability of handling emergency situations effectively. An advanced degree related to Human Services (psychology, social work, counseling, recreational therapy, rehabilitation counseling, health care administration, criminal justice, sociology, community services, etc)is preferred, but not required.
Contingencies: All opportunities at Turning Leaf are contingent upon successful completion of a satisfactory health assessment within 30 days of hire, tuberculosis testing, criminal background clearances, as well as degree and/or license verification. A valid Michigan Driver’s License is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.

Note: The APM position is a 24 hour commitment to your assigned territory/program, a rotating on call component IS required.
