Group IT Director

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Group IT Director to lead the technology function across a diversified group of companies operating under a shared corporate umbrella.

This role will be responsible for defining and executing the Group’s IT strategy, driving digital transformation initiatives, overseeing enterprise systems (including SAP and BI platforms), and ensuring operational excellence across all subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate combines strong enterprise systems expertise with leadership maturity, vendor management capability, and cross-functional influence at executive level.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Leadership Oversight

• Develop and implement the Group’s IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 20+ IT professionals across functions (PMO, Infrastructure, Applications, Tech Support, etc.).
• Act as a technology advisor to the Group CEO and senior leadership.
• Drive standardization and governance across subsidiaries while respecting operational diversity.

Enterprise Systems & Digital Transformation

• Oversee SAP landscape (implementation, optimization, upgrades, integrations).
• Lead customization and system enhancement projects across group entities.
• Drive Power BI reporting architecture and business intelligence governance.
• Ensure integration between ERP, CRM, finance, supply chain, and operational systems.
• Lead digital transformation and automation initiatives.

Project & PMO Oversight

• Supervise project management frameworks and delivery governance.
• Ensure technology projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Prioritize IT initiatives based on strategic and financial impact.

Infrastructure & Operations

• Oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks, and cloud environments.
• Ensure high system availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain strong IT support operations with defined SLAs and KPIs.

Vendor & Telecom Management

• Manage relationships with telecom and enterprise IT service providers.
• Negotiate contracts, review SLAs, and oversee performance management.
• Ensure procurement alignment for IT hardware, software, and services.
• Optimize vendor ecosystem to ensure cost efficiency and scalability.

Governance & Compliance

• Implement IT policies, security standards, and data governance frameworks.
• Ensure regulatory and audit compliance across the group.
• Drive cybersecurity awareness and risk mitigation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 12–18+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing IT at a group or multi-entity level.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP (implementation and post-go-live governance).
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI and reporting frameworks.
• Experience managing 15–30 direct/indirect reports.
• Strong background in project management and system customization.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations and telecom partnerships.
• Experience working closely with procurement and finance functions.
• Strong commercial acumen and executive presence.
