**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Leader to join our team. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for managing and guiding a group of students or campers (aged 5-11), providing support and guidance as they participate in various activities and programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, and a deep understanding of childhood development. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and to develop your leadership skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage a group of students or campers in a variety of settings, including classrooms, camps, and recreational programs.

- Particpate and assist in activities and events that promote socialization, teamwork, and personal growth.

- Provide support and guidance to students and campers, addressing any behavioral or emotional issues that may arise.

- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program.

- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and self-expression.

- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.

- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and to enhance your skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience working with children or young people, preferably.

- Experience in babysitting, childcare, or tutoring is highly desirable.

- Special education experience is an asset.

- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

- A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to creating a fun and engaging experience for students and campers.

- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

- A strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students and campers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
