Group Leader - Summer Day Camp

Join our dynamic summer team as a Group Leader for our engaging and energetic Summer Day Camp! In this vital role, you will lead groups of children through a variety of fun, educational, and enriching activities designed to promote growth, teamwork, and confidence. Your enthusiasm and leadership will create a safe, inclusive environment where children can explore new interests, develop social skills, and make lasting memories. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds while fostering a positive camp experience for all participants. Camp runs from June 29, 2026-August 21, 2026. Staff are entitled to a significant discount for their children to attend camp.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead small groups of children during daily camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games for Group Time activities that promote childhood development and creativity
• Maintain a safe environment by implementing proper behavior management techniques and enforcing camp rules
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns in a professional manner

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, summer camp, tutoring, or early childhood education is highly preferred
• Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain order and foster positive behavior among diverse groups of children
• Knowledge of child development principles to support age-specific needs and activities
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required (we provide training)
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with children, parents, and team members while promoting a supportive camp environment
• Passion for working with children and creating memorable summer experiences that encourage growth and fun

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,250.00 per month
