Since 1989, New Mozart School of Music has been a premier music school in Palo Alto, dedicated to inspiring musical joy and creativity in students of all ages and levels. Our faculty and staff are passionate musicians and educators, many of whom have been with us for 10+ years including several who have taught here for over two decades.

We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment for students and a supportive workplace for teachers. Our full-time administrative team handles scheduling, enrollment, accounting, marketing, and student recruitment so you can focus on what you love most: teaching music.

We are located in a newly built, Class A facility at the College Terrace Centre in the heart of Palo Alto.

Immediate Opening: Harmony Road Teacher

Are you a piano/voice teacher who loves working with young children? We invite you to join us in teaching the internationally recognized Harmony Road program.

Harmony Road is a unique, piano-based early childhood curriculum that blends the best of Suzuki, Kodály, Orff, and Dalcroze. We adopted it nearly 20 years ago after seeing how traditional lessons often fell short for very young beginners.

We provide paid training and internship so you can confidently lead classes and make a lasting impact on children’s musical journeys.

Qualifications

• Legal U.S. work status (visa sponsorship may be available for candidates with advanced degrees)
• Bachelor’s degree in Music (Master’s, DMA, or PhD preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with children
• Certifications such as Suzuki, ABRSM, or RCM preferred
• Experience preparing students for exams and performances
• Patient, responsible, and committed to student success
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Reliable transportation to Palo Alto; Bay Area residency required
• Minimum 2-year commitment

Hours

• Weekdays: 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Saturdays: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Ideal candidates are available at least 3 days per week (6 teaching hours per day + break).
• Full-time teaching = 5 days per week.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay is based on education, teaching experience, and student retention.
