Group Picnic Host Coordinator (Apply in person)

Job Description

The Picnic Host Coordinator works directly with the Picnic Registration Team, Groups Sales Manager, and Catering Manager to help staff and coordinate the operation of the Picnic Hosts at the catered picnics throughout the summer.

Job Functions:

· Help train the Picnic Hosts at orientation

· Communicate frequently with Picnic Hosts to answer questions or concerns

· Determine with the Group Sales Manager the number of Picnic Hosts needed for each catered picnic.

· Assign Picnic Hosts to picnics and schedule them via Google Docs

· Train and assist Picnic Hosts with clock in procedures, break times, and clocking out.

· Supervise Picnic Hosts on days with catered picnics and help as needed.

· Check on Picnic Hosts throughout the day making sure they are adhering to the Child Labor laws.

· Handle employee relations matters including but not limited to conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and investigating issues and conflicts

· Document and maintain accurate attendance, timesheet, and availability records for each employee

Basic Qualifications:

· High School diploma or GED

· Good computer skills (Microsoft programs, Excel, Word, email, and Google Docs)

· Good communication and organizational skills

· Ability to work well with teenage staff, many with no prior work experience

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work

· Must be self-motivated to complete tasks and be able to multitask while prioritizing job tasks and assignments

· Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Waldameer guidelines

Working Conditions:

· Will be expected to work a minimum of 4 days/week for scheduling picnic hosts and on days that have scheduled catered picnics (Thur. – Sun.)

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule with shifts starting as early as 9:00am and ending as late as 7:00pm

· Physical requirements include standing and walking for long periods of time.

· Regular outside work in various weather conditions is required (including heat, sun exposure, cold and inclement weather)

Pay: $16.50 per hour
