Group Procurement & Sales Specialist

Located in Wichita, Kansas, Aerospace Turbine Rotables (AeTR) is an FAA certified repair station which overhauls and repairs landing gear, hydraulic components, actuators, hydrostatic components, and aircraft lighting components. Overview:

This role is responsible for procuring detail components, hardware, raw materials, and equipment, as well as managing and selling used serviceable material (USM) and PMA parts to support corporate, general, and military aircraft programs. The Specialist will source, purchase, maintain, and promote inventory while collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions. This position requires delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement

  • Identify and qualify new and existing suppliers for materials, spares, equipment, services, USM, and PMA parts.
  • Prepare RFPs/RFQs, evaluate proposals, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, maintain supplier catalogs and price lists, and identify inventory acquisition opportunities.
  • Assess customer requirements, provide accurate pricing and availability, and process orders, including urgent AOG requests.
  • Manage stock levels to meet production and aftermarket needs while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Develop long-term agreements (LTAs) and pricing strategies to improve procurement efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management to resolve supplier quality, pricing, and performance issues.

Sales & Marketing

  • Support sales efforts by promoting available inventory, cross-selling parts, and anticipating market demand trends.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to maximize margins and overall profitability.
  • Identify alternate sourcing options, improved purchasing programs, and cost-saving initiatives.

Customer & Supplier Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to USM and PMA parts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure exceptional service.

Technical & Analytical Support

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of relevant aircraft components and serve as a technical resource.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate part identification and compliance.
  • Perform cost and market analysis to guide procurement and stocking decisions.
  • Support internal audits, quality reviews, and compliance with import/export regulations and public law requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years in procurement, aerospace parts trading, or supply chain).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft parts (business jet/corporate aviation experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Quantum) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet strict deadlines, and manage urgent AOG requirements when necessary.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to meet company hiring requirements (drug screen, background check).

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
