Job description - Group Product Manager


Role Summary:

1. End-to-End Product Stewardship

  • Envision & Execute: Take full accountability for the B2C user app and the underlying content platform. You are responsible for the "What," the "Why," and the "How."
  • Founder’s Logic: Approach every feature and pivot with an eye on the P&L, long-term sustainability, and user growth—treating the product as if it were your own startup.
  • Roadmap Leadership: Define a high-velocity roadmap that balances aggressive innovation with platform stability.

2. Strategic Collaboration & Influence

  • Seat at the Table: Participate in high-stakes strategic sessions with executive leadership to align product milestones with the company’s broader business objectives.
  • Win-Win Partnerships: Partner with engineering, vendors, and analytics to define PRDs and scope. You are expected to negotiate trade-offs that create a "win-win" for both technical excellence and business ROI.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Work with analytics, build data signals, turn raw data into strategic insights that influence the company's direction.

3. AI & Video Innovation

  • Cutting-Edge Integration: Lead the charge on Generative AI (prompt-to-video, auto-captions) and advanced video infrastructure (CDN/Processing) to create a world-class UGC experience.
  • Safety at Scale: Oversee the development of automated, AI-driven moderation and trust systems to protect the community and the brand.

4. Building the Tech Org

  • Zero-to-One Scaling: Lead the transition from vendor-reliant delivery to a high-performance in-house team.
  • Institutional Knowledge: Ensure the platform is future-proofed through rigorous documentation and runbooks, eliminating technical debt and vendor lock-in.
  • Talent Magnet: Help interview, hire, and mentor the next generation of engineers and PMs.


What you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with an academic background of BE/BTech/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience and Post graduation in Management (MBA) or equivalent.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record of shipping high-scale consumer mobile apps, ideally in the Video, Social, or UGC space.
  • Technical Depth: Deep understanding of AI/ML workflows and video streaming architecture (you don't need to code, but you must speak the language).
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing high-output external engineering partners and ensuring delivery quality.
  • Hands on experience on 0-1 launch stages & MVP releases with strong data-driven analytical skills
  • Be consumer centric and have strong business/category understanding. A strong pulse on Gen-Z/Millennial user behavior and the ability to turn qualitative feedback into quantitative features.
  • Strong bias for action and able to navigate through partial information & thrive in ambiguity
  • Strong hold on influencing cross functional heads & leaders using insights- Ability to navigate partner relationships and interact with engineering teams.
  • Experience leading complex strategic and operational initiatives, working through technical, operational and business issues with an entrepreneurial spirit.
