Position: Group Sales Associate

Status: Regular Part-time - full-time eligible, non-exempt
Compensation and Benefits: $19 - $22.50 hourly + Incentive Pay
The Group Sales Associate embodies Stages' commitment to personal customer service that is key to our marketing and sales success. We have built a solid reputation for providing outstanding personal care for patrons. The Group Sales Associate position is key to ensure the customer experience matches the excellence of our onstage artistry. This individual is responsible for developing new audiences and promoting Stages to new and returning groups. Stages’ Patron Services team is critical to our success, serving as a central location for inbound and outbound calling, and the main hub of personal contact with patrons on site.

What you’ll do at Stages
● Achieve group sales goals for each production in the season. Be the catalyst that helps us achieve overall production sales goals.
● Working with the Patron & Donor Experience Manager and Marketing Director, create selling strategies, promotions, and special offers to Stages group patrons.
● Outbound calling and emailing to solicit prospective group ticket buyers with information about upcoming shows – including corporations, organizations, clubs, etc.
● Sell group and subscription tickets by phone, email and in person as well as selling events and VIP packages.
● Coordinate with the Marketing Department to create all Group Sales communications including emails, mailing, brochures and promotional materials.
● Provide group sales and attendance reports.
● Be on-site to greet large groups and facilitate their experience needs (i.e. parking, bar, reception) when attending productions, as needed.
● Create a positive, can-do team environment that utilizes individual skill and talent to achieve growth in our organization while delivering the highest level of customer care.
● Build lasting relationships through superior customer service that our patrons will remember for years to come.
● Provide a positive attitude during ticket pickup prior to performances. Duties also include the printing and preparation of tickets.
● Build and maintain relationships with a personal portfolio of subscribers and ticket buyers. ● Attend at least one performance of each of the shows in our season - preferably the final dress or a preview performance.
● Attend networking and other community-based events/mixers/meetings to present on group opportunities and prospect clients.
● Assist Patron & Donor Experience Manager with management duties, as needed.
● Other duties as assigned.
To excel in this job, you’ll need
● A desire to work in sales and with patrons is required.
● A passion for theatre and the performing arts.
● Flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend work.
● Detail-oriented and basic computer and phone skills.
● Positive, customer-focused approach to work with strong team building skills.
● Comfortable in a leadership role, providing guidance to staff and volunteers.
● This position requires an individual with strong entrepreneurial skills who is passionate about the work Stages does and is eager to play an important role in our organization during a transformational period of growth.
● Familiarity with ticketing systems or CRMs .
It’s also great to have
● 2-5 years experience in sales and/or box office environment
● Confidence in a variety of business and social settings, and building relationships with people in a wide range of roles and industries
