Definition
Get experience working alongside the Chief Executive Officer of a local municipality while helping to make a difference in your community through high level projects and decision making. Along with the Executive Officer of the City, you will have the opportunity to learn and work with the City Attorney’s Office. The City Attorney’s Office will give you the opportunity to learn how the City Attorney’s Office works with all city departments on a daily basis.

As part of the Growing Grads Summer Internship Program, the following dates are required for interns to attend: June 8, June 9, June 16, and July 28.
Example of Duties
Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Interdepartmental meetings

Shadowing attorneys and legal assistant

Assist in drafting resolutions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Education and Training
Must be 16 years or older.
Drivers license preferred but not required.
Schedule
Position to start the week of June 8. Summer Internship hours would be 15-20 hours per week up to a total of 150 hours.
Work hours will be during working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
