Role Overview
Own end-to-end performance marketing and retention (SMS, WhatsApp, Email) for a premium D2C brand, working closely with agencies, creative, and merchandising to drive profitable growth, repeat purchase, and smart inventory decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue, CAC, ROAS and payback targets across META, Google and other paid channels, steering performance and SEO agencies with clear goals, briefs, and regular reviews.
- Lead CRM/lifecycle journeys across SMS, WhatsApp and Email (welcome, first-to-second purchase, replenishment, abandoned cart, win-back, VIP), using segmentation and experimentation to lift repeat rates and LTV.
- Partner with creative teams to define monthly performance-creative needs (formats, hooks, volume), using data on top-performing messages, audiences, and platforms to shape clear briefs.
- Work with merchandising to decide assortments and hero SKUs for BAU and sale periods, aligning promo mechanics and marketing pressure with margins and brand positioning.
- Track daily inventory and sell-through at SKU/category level, flag fast/slow movers, and adjust marketing, CRM pushes, and ordering recommendations accordingly.
- Ensure robust tracking (pixels, server-side/CAPI, GA4), clean event taxonomy, and dashboards to monitor performance, retention, and cohorts.
Core Skills & Traits
- Strong performance marketing understanding (META, Google, funnel metrics) plus hands-on CRM/lifecycle experience across SMS, WhatsApp, and Email.
- Comfort working with agencies and cross-functional teams (creative, merchandising, tech/data) to execute integrated plans tied to clear commercial outcomes.
- Highly data-driven, commercially aware (LTV, margins, payback), and able to balance growth goals with inventory and profitability realities.
- Fast learner with a test-and-iterate mindset, keen to adapt to AI-led changes in META/Google rather than rely on old playbooks.
Experience
- 4–6 years in performance and/or retention marketing in D2C/e-commerce; premium or higher-ASP category is a plus.
- Prior experience managing performance/SEO and CRM partners, with exposure to merchandising or category planning preferred.
