Growth & Community Manager for Coaching & Retreat Business
Part-Time | Remote
We’re hiring a Growth & Community Manager to help scale a coaching and retreat business focused on burnout recovery and nervous system regulation.
Your role will be to turn long-form content, live events, and teachings into consistent audience growth through content repurposing, community engagement, email outreach, and event promotion.
You’ll be responsible for helping grow a community hosted on Skool, promoting weekly live sessions, and ensuring our content and website direct people toward coaching programs and retreats.
You’ll work directly with John Quirk, founder of SoCal Wellness Retreats, helping turn recorded teachings, live sessions, and coaching insights into a consistent marketing engine that grows an engaged audience and converts participants into clients.
ResponsibilitiesContent Repurposing & Distribution
- Turn long-form content (podcasts, breathwork sessions, teachings, and interviews) into short-form videos and social media posts
- Edit and distribute content across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant channels
- Maintain a consistent publishing schedule
- Identify engaging clips and key insights that resonate with audiences
Community Management (Skool Platform)
- Manage and grow an online community hosted on Skool
- Post prompts, insights, and discussion topics to encourage interaction
- Welcome new members and encourage engagement
- Highlight wins and success stories from members
- Promote upcoming live sessions and events within the community
Event Promotion
- Promote weekly or biweekly live breathwork and nervous system regulation sessions
- Send reminders and promotional posts across social channels and the Skool community
- Help increase attendance and engagement at live events
- Assist with follow-up communication after events
Email Marketing
- Manage email outreach for live events and community updates
- Send weekly newsletters and announcements
- Create simple email campaigns promoting coaching programs, retreats, and group offerings
- Help grow and nurture the email list
Website & Funnel Support
- Update and maintain website pages on Squarespace (ideal) or work with a web editor to ensure these pages are built / optimized
- Ensure website visitors are directed toward current offers and events
- Add event registration pages and landing pages when needed
- Help maintain a clear flow from content → community → coaching offers
Required Skills
- Experience managing content for creators, coaches, or personal brands
- Strong skills in content repurposing and short-form video editing
- Experience using Opus AI or similar AI-based editing tools
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and newsletters
- Experience updating and managing websites using Squarespace
- Experience managing communities on Skool or similar platforms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain publishing schedules
- Ability to identify engaging moments in long-form content
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience growing creator communities
- Experience promoting webinars or live online events
- Familiarity with YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok growth strategies
- Basic understanding of marketing funnels and audience conversion
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days you will help create:
- A consistent content pipeline
- Increased engagement inside the Skool community
- Growing attendance at weekly live sessions
- A regularly communicated email audience
- Clear pathways from audience → community → coaching programs and retreats
Compensation based on experience / availability.
Part-time remote role with goal to move into full time within six months.

Pay: $52,700.72 - $63,467.53 per year
