Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive GST / Indirect Tax Executive with hands-on experience in GST litigations, assessments, and departmental representations. The candidate will be responsible for handling notices, drafting replies, assisting in appeals, and ensuring compliance with GST laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities1. GST Litigation & Representation
- Drafting replies to GST notices (DRC-01, ASMT, scrutiny notices, etc.)
- Handling departmental queries and assessments.
- Assisting in preparation and filing of appeals before:
- Appellate Authority
- Coordinating with consultants, legal counsels, and clients for litigation matters.
- Preparing submissions and documentation for hearings.
2. Compliance & Advisory
- Filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
- GST reconciliations (GSTR-2A/2B vs Books).
- Input Tax Credit (ITC) analysis and reversals.
- Assisting clients in GST registration, amendments, and cancellations.
- Advisory support on GST implications in transactions.
3. Audit & Assessment Support
- Handling GST audits (Departmental & Internal).
- Preparation of working papers and documentation.
- Assisting in departmental audits and investigations.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintaining litigation tracker and compliance calendar.
- Preparing MIS reports for management.
- Ensuring proper record keeping of all GST-related documents.
Prerequisites / Eligibility Criteria
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter/ CA Semiqualified (Preferred).
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in GST compliance and litigation.
- Hands-on experience in drafting replies to GST notices.
- Knowledge of GST Act, Rules, and relevant notifications/circulars.
- Good understanding of:
- ITC provisions
- E-way bill compliance
- TDS/TCS under GST
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Working knowledge of GST portal and accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.).
