Location: Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring, Kuwait
Security Clearance Required: Active U.S. Secret Clearance

Position Overview

The Guard Site Manager (GSM) serves as the primary liaison between the U.S. Government and the Contractor for all contracted security operations at the assigned location. The GSM is responsible for the overall scheduling, supervision, direction, and operational control of all vendor security personnel, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and mission objectives.

This role operates within the Operations Center and ensures continuous coverage, effective communication, and seamless coordination between shifts. The GSM also develops and maintains security schedules, manages personnel performance, and provides operational reporting to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and the Force Protection Officer (FPO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Government and Contractor for all security-related operations.
  • Oversee the scheduling, deployment, and supervision of all security personnel.
  • Manage shift changes and ensure effective transfer of responsibility between teams.
  • Maintain situational awareness of all security operations and provide daily status updates to the COR and FPO.
  • Develop, produce, and submit a monthly Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAM) schedule for Camp Arifjan and Camp Buehring to the Director of Emergency Services and the COR.
  • Ensure that all RAM activities align with the approved U.S. Government list.
  • Work within the Operations Center to oversee 24/7 coverage, including assigning shift leaders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational directives, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain records and documentation for personnel schedules, incidents, and communications.
  • Interface directly with U.S. Government supervisory personnel designated as company points of contact.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined professional experience in the military, law enforcement, or private security sector.
  • At least 6 years of honorable military service required (waiverable in special cases with COR approval).
  • Prior experience as an officer, warrant officer, or senior non-commissioned officer (E-7 or above), or as a team leader in military, police, or private security operations in a contingency area.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with proven ability to manage large teams in dynamic environments.
