Guest Service Representative

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. The Guest Service Agent will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting retail operations within our grocery store setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with their inquiries using strong phone etiquette
• Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance guest experience and sales
• Conduct product demos and provide information about merchandise to customers
• Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized displays
• Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Support inventory management by stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and sales floor
• Promote a positive shopping environment through excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly desirable
• Basic math skills necessary for retail math, cash handling, and POS operations
• Experience with upselling, product demos, merchandising, and stock management is beneficial
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Familiarity with phone etiquette and effective communication techniques
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a retail setting and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
