Guest Service Representative/Front Desk

We are currently looking for Guest Service Agents for our Candlewood Suites in Independence, MO. A Guest Service Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Job Overview
Candlewood Suites Kansas City - Independence is seeking a dedicated and professional Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant stay. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct night audits as required, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate.
  • Utilize phone systems to manage incoming calls and assist guests as needed.
  • Provide information about local attractions, dining options, and hotel amenities.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
  • Experience in hotel management or resort operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with night audit procedures is a plus.
  • Multilingual abilities are highly desirable; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and hotel management software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
