The gun shop is the most highly recommended gunsmithing shop in the state of Idaho and surrounding areas. It is known for its commitment to quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service in the firearms industry. We offer a wide range of gunsmithing services and are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to enhance our team.

Job Details:

The gunsmith should be able to accurately evaluate and diagnose firearm issues on a wide variety of modern and antique firearms, handguns, shotguns, and rifles.

The gunsmith will be responsible for performing an array of gunsmithing tasks, repairs, modifications, and customizations including, but not limited to trigger jobs, threading and chambering, pad installation, miscellaneous parts installation, sight modifications, stock refinishing, and full and partial restorations.

The gunsmith should be skilled in the use of a lathe and milling machine to fabricate obsolete replacement parts. The use of a mig and tig welder is also necessary.

Additional duties include:

Working alongside the sales team to provide expert advice, engage with the customer to explain the necessary work and ensure customer satisfaction.

Maintain a clean and organized shop and ensure tools and equipment are cared for and stored properly.

Assist in managing inventory, ensuring parts and supplies needed for gunsmithing are adequately stocked.

Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices in firearms handling and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a gunsmith or similar role is required.

Gunsmith certification is a definite plus!
Strong knowledge of firearm mechanics and repair methodologies.

Ability to lift fifty pounds.

Excellent attention to detail is a must!

Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with other gunsmiths.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and safety

You must be drug free and be able to pass a background check.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
