Duties

• Greet members and visitors warmly, providing friendly assistance and answering questions about gym services or products
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for memberships, merchandise sales, and product demos with accuracy and efficiency
• Supervise gym areas to ensure safety protocols are followed and equipment is used properly
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote new fitness gear, supplements, or gym programs to members
• Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing retail displays, and maintaining cleanliness of the sales area
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and cashiering responsibilities
• Upsell memberships, personal training packages, or retail items to enhance member experience and meet sales goals
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or scheduling appointments
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean, safe, and motivating environment for all gym users

Experience

• Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is preferred
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse member populations
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales enhances your ability to succeed in this role
• Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with members and team collaboration
• Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing stock counts
• Familiarity with grocery store or retail environments can provide a solid foundation for this position
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service via phone or face-to-face interactions
