Gymnastics Coach at Funtastic Gymnastics

Are you 18 or over, love kids, and looking for a long-term, part-time job that can lead to 30+ hours per week? We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coach to join our team! This role is the cornerstone of our program, leading classes for athletes of all ages and skill levels—from tots to intermediate gymnasts. Responsibilities include coaching, tracking progress, communicating with parents, assisting with special events, and maintaining a safe, clean facility. Opportunities for growth include lesson planning, coach training, and leadership in the absence of management with advancement opportunities to promote to Head Coach and ultimately, Program Director.

Required Qualifications

(These are the must-haves to ensure basic readiness and safety compliance.)

• Minimum age 18.
• Prior experience working with or supervising children (e.g., babysitting, camp counselor, assistant coach, etc.).
• Passionate about teaching, motivating students, and fostering skill development in a positive environment.
• A strong commitment to excellence, teamwork, and customer service is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate and instruct basic physical movements safely.
• Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with kids.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and direction from senior coaches.
• Pass required Livescan (DOJ and FBI) background check and training courses.
• Ability to lift, spot, and assist gymnasts as needed.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous gymnastics experience (as an athlete or coach).
• Knowledge of basic gymnastics terminology and progressions.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• USA Gymnastics (USAG) Instructor or Safety Certification (or willingness to complete).
• Experience working in a structured youth sports or recreational program.
• Background in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, or similar physical disciplines

Pay: $18 to $20
