Gymnastics Head Coach - Female

JOB OVERVIEW

Absolute Gymnastics is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coach to join our expanding team. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering structured, high-quality training sessions, monitoring athlete progress, ensuring equipment safety, and fostering a positive and disciplined training environment.

This position requires strong leadership, effective organizational skills, and a genuine passion for developing athletes across multiple levels. The coach will also contribute to events, competitions, and collaborative programs while working closely with internal departments.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Session Planning & Execution :

Design and deliver structured training sessions each term, tailored to varying ability levels. Ensure progressive skill advancement, physical conditioning, and technical precision in alignment with academy standards.

2. Athlete Development & Attendance Tracking :

Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor athlete participation to support consistent development and performance assessment.

3. Coaching Standards & Methodology :

Apply current coaching techniques and syllabus requirements within squad sessions. Uphold high coaching standards and promote continuous improvement across all programs.

4. Program Enhancement :

Integrate modern and effective training methods to prepare athletes for both local and international competitions.

5. Equipment & Facility Oversight :

Oversee the proper setup and dismantling of gymnastics apparatus before and after sessions. Ensure the facility remains safe, organized, and compliant with safety regulations at all times.

6. Professional Readiness :

Report to the venue at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled sessions to ensure proper preparation and smooth session delivery.

7. Safeguarding & First Aid Compliance :

Strictly adhere to child protection and safeguarding policies. Provide first aid support when necessary to maintain a secure training environment.

8. Team Leadership :

Supervise assistant and part-time coaches, ensuring consistency in session delivery and strong team coordination.

9. Client Relations & Retention :

Support venue performance targets by maintaining high service standards and building positive relationships with athletes and parents.

10. Communication :

Provide timely updates to parents and participants regarding athlete progress, upcoming events, and competition schedules.

11. Events & Competition Support :

Assist in organizing biannual in-house competitions and support athletes during external events, encouraging professionalism, discipline, and confidence.

12. Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work alongside school and camp program teams to deliver quality gymnastics instruction within the wider community.

13. Reporting Structure :

Reports directly to the Academy Manager – Infinite Sports LLC / Absolute Sports LLC.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum British Gymnastics Level 2 certification (or equivalent recognized qualification)
• Minimum 3 years of coaching experience
• Valid driving license
• Safeguarding certification
• Current First Aid qualification
• Valid Police Clearance

Core Skills:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience coaching from recreational to competitive levels
• Ability to supervise and guide junior coaching staff
• Proficient in MS Office and basic reporting

Additional Details:

• Programs include Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Competitive streams (Artistic or Rhythmic).
• Performance will be assessed through term-based KPIs and venue evaluations.
