Gypsum carpenter

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Gypsum Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing gypsum board (drywall) and related structures, ensuring smooth and accurate finishes for walls, ceilings, and partitions. You will work on commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install gypsum board (drywall) to precise dimensions
• Frame and install metal or wood stud partitions, ceilings, and soffits
• Install suspended (drop) ceilings where required
• Tape, finish, and sand joints and surfaces for painting or decoration
• Cut openings for electrical boxes, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Ensure alignment, level, and plumb installations using appropriate tools
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions
• Work with hand and power tools including T-squares, saws, drills, and screw guns
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure efficient workflow on-site
