Duties

• Assist senior stylists with hair styling, including blowouts, trims, and basic color applications using knowledge of color theory
• Prepare clients for services by shampooing, conditioning, and setting up tools and products efficiently
• Support with advanced techniques such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading under supervision
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling using salon software, greeting clients warmly, and handling retail sales with upselling strategies
• Assist with retail product displays and inventory management to promote retail sales and meet store management goals
• Support mentoring of new team members by sharing knowledge of salon procedures, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license; additional certifications in esthetician application are a plus
• Basic understanding of hair styling techniques and salon sanitation protocols
• Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, or hair threading is desirable but not required—training will be provided
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members
• Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products confidently
• Passion for learning new skills like the straight razor technique or advanced color theory applications
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
