Duties

• Deliver a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion looks with precision and flair.
• Perform barbering services such as straight razor shaves, beard trims, and classic cuts to meet diverse client needs.
• Apply color treatments based on color theory principles to achieve vibrant or subtle shades tailored to each client’s preferences.
• Install and style hair extensions and eyelash extensions to enhance clients’ natural beauty.
• Conduct hair threading and makeup application for special events or everyday looks.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each client to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Use salon software like MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing retail sales efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by listening actively to client desires, offering professional recommendations, and upselling retail products such as hair care or nail care items.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and ensuring a smooth salon flow.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, retail sales strategies, and customer engagement.
• Support store management with daily operations, inventory management, and promotional activities to boost sales and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
• Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or cosmetology with a strong portfolio of work.
• Knowledge of hair extensions techniques and application methods.
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail management.
• Strong understanding of color theory to create customized coloring solutions.
• Skilled in advanced techniques like straight razor shaves, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and makeup application.
• Excellent sanitation practices to uphold health standards within the salon environment.
• Exceptional communication skills for engaging clients effectively and understanding their beauty goals.
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Experience in store management or mentoring is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
