• Provide the guest with personal, gracious, and professional service, perceptive to their individual wants and needs.
• Provide the guest with thorough knowledge of the merchandise offered for sale..
• Translate this knowledge into creative selling techniques to promote profitability.
• Greet customers and ensure that all customers are totally satisfied.
• Determine customer needs and suggest additional merchandise to meet needs.
• Maintain daily awareness of merchandise in stock, and current promotions.
• Promptly follow up on all special orders and special service requests.
• Professionally handle difficult customer situations and immediately involve or notify management.
• Responsible for serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer.
• Responsible for educating customers about our premium coffees and teas.
• Ensure that the back of house is clean and organized, in accordance with sanitation standards.
• Process payment properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Strong knowledge of coffee service.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adaptive to the daily changes within the hotel.
• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Fluent English (written, spoken and reading)
• Strong commitment to service.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize
• Ability to work a variety of shifts as will involve days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Barista experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• TIPS Certification
• Certified in CPR. First Aid AED

Physical Demands

• Must be able to go up and down staircase as well as stood and bend
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
