Hamptons Seasonal Caregiver

Seasonal Position

Gabi Childcare is hiring warm, dependable, and professional seasonal caregivers to support families throughout the Hamptons. This is our second season back in the Hamptons, and we are growing our seasonal caregiver team to support private families, visiting families, and summer households. We are looking for caregivers who are caring, safety focused, flexible, and able to provide high quality care in private family homes.

This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy working with children, understand the importance of family privacy, and can provide calm, thoughtful, and reliable support during the busy Hamptons season.

Service Areas

Caregivers may be placed with families throughout the official towns of Southampton and East Hampton, including:

Westhampton, Westhampton Beach, Quogue, East Quogue, Hampton Bays, Southampton, Shinnecock Hills, North Sea, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Sagaponack, Sag Harbor, Wainscott, East Hampton, Springs, Amagansett, and Montauk.

Important Requirement

Candidates must have a reliable car and be able to drive themselves to work. Many family homes are not easy to reach by public transportation. A personal vehicle is required for commuting to assignments.

Driving children is only required when it is part of the family assignment and the caregiver has been approved for that responsibility.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Provide safe, warm, and attentive childcare in the family’s homeFollow the family’s care instructions, routines, and household expectationsSupport meals, snacks, bottles, naps, playtime, and daily transitionsPlan simple, age appropriate activities when neededSupport outdoor play, beach days, pool supervision, walks, and local family outings when assignedMaintain a calm and professional presence in the homeCommunicate clearly with parents or guardiansRespect family privacy and confidentialityKeep children’s care areas neat and organizedReport any safety, health, or behavior concerns promptly

Ideal Candidate

Has childcare experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age children, or teensIs dependable, patient, kind, and professionalUnderstands private family care and confidentialityCan follow directions and adapt to different family needsIs comfortable working in luxury homes and high profile family settingsHas strong communication skillsArrives on time and prepared for each assignmentCan remain calm, attentive, and engaged with childrenIs available for seasonal work in the Hamptons

Requirements

• Must have a reliable car to drive to work
• Must have prior childcare experience
• Must be able to provide professional references
• Must be able to pass a background screening
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be dependable and available for assigned shifts
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred
• Experience with newborns, special needs, multiples, or high profile families is a plus
